Instructions Cream butter and sugar. Add flour, nuts, and vanilla and mix well. Pinch off pieces the size of a marble and roll about the size of a finger. Shape into crescents. Bake on an ungreased cookie sheet at 325 degrees for 25-30 minutes. Do not brown. Roll in powdered sugar while warm. Note from Larea: Shaping these into crescents is hard because the dough is very sticky. They taste the same if you make them in balls.
