Ingredients

1 cup Quick Oats
1 stick Butter
1 cup Sugar
1 cup Brown sugar
2 Eggs
1 teaspoon Vanilla
1 teaspoon Cinnamon
1 1/3 cup Flour
1 teaspoon Baking soda
1/2 teaspoon Salt
3 tablespoons Butter melted
2/3 cup Brown sugar
1 cup Coconut shredded
1 cup Pecans chopped
4 tablespoons Cream
2 Egg yolks


 
Instructions
Pour 1 1/4 cup boiling water over 1 cup quick oats - allow to set for 20 minutes. Cream together 1 stick butter, 1 cup white sugar, 1 cup brown sugar. Add 2 whole eggs, vanilla and cinnamon. Mix well and add oats. Add 1 1/3 cups flour, soda, and salt. Bake 30 minutes at 350 degrees.

Mix 3 T melted butter, 2/3 cup brown sugar, 1 cup coconut, 1 cup chopped nuts, 3 or 4 T cream, and 2 egg yolks.

Spread mixture on cake and return to oven and back about 10 minutes or until brown.
