s Banana Nut Bread s   



Yields: 10 Servings


Ingredients

3 cups Sugar
1 cup Shortening
2 teaspoons Vanilla
1/2 teaspoon Banana extract
4 Eggs
3 1/2 cups Flour
2 teaspoons Baking soda
1/4 teaspoon Salt
1/2 cup Buttermilk
6 small Bananas RIPE!!
1 cup Walnuts chopped


 
Instructions
Cream shortening, sugar, and flavors, add eggs one at a time. Sift flour, soda, and salt together and add alternately with buttermilk. Mash bananas and add, then add nuts.

Bake in 10" stem pan that has been greased and dusted with flour. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour 30 minutes. (Bake in 2 loaf pans for about 1 hour and 10 minutes.)
